Saturday 16th June

10am – 10.45 – Pre-Run Yoga Workshop
Do you want to perform to the best of your ability on race day? Take part in this amazing, runner specific, Yoga Workshop. Follow the amazing Catriona Orr as she instructs you towards a PB!

12.00 – 12.30 – Nordic Walking Experts explain all!
Now one of the world’s fastest growing activities, come and hear how Nordic Walking differs from just “walking with poles” from local experts. If you like what you hear and want to get involved join the 14.30 workshop Saturday or Sunday at Basecamp.

12.30 – 12.50 – The Warm Up
Music, dance, stretch, warm up and get ready for the Muckle Toon Trail Run. Suitable for all the family!

13.30 – Navigation and Hill Skills Walk – Meeting point.
Join our local mountain leader Phil Tinning as he takes you high above Basecamp to learn the basics of Navigation in this 2hr workshop. After this no one’s going to get lost! Bookable in Advance.

13.30 – 14.00 – Sim Mainey MTB Photography
Sim is an established writer and photographer, best known for his mountain bike work. Collaborating with editorial and commercial clients he creates images and stories that aim to inspire others to get out on their bikes and explore. Formerly the Art Director at Singletrack magazine and marketing manager at Orange Bikes, he’s seen the industry from many angles but likes the view he has now the most.

14.15 – Sim Mainey MTB Photography Workshop – Meeting Point
With Sim’s professional guidance, participants will unlock their creative potential and create dynamic and exciting photographic imagery in this 2hr workshop. Bookable in Advance.

14.30 – Nordic Walking Workshop – Meeting Point
Everything you need to know to get you walking Nordic Style! Cover the basics of Nordic walking with Chartered Physiotherapists and British Nordic Walking Instructors Rachel and Steve Mills in this
practical Workshop. We provide the poles in all sizes so bring the whole family! Bookable in the Tent.

15:00 – 18.30 – LIVE MUSIC – Singer/Guitarist Kev Kendal
Stay and Enjoy the party!! Food, beer and live music. What more do you need after a busy day at Basecamp.

Sunday 17th June

10.30 – 11.15 – Pilates Warm Up
Get Run Ready with Chartered Physiotherapists and Pilates guru’s Steve and Rachel Mills of Physio Pilates Carlisle. They will be on hand to take you through the basics in Pilates and tone that all important running core!

11.15 – 11.45 – Gutzi Foods
Come and hear ex-international ultra runner Lucy Colquhoun talk about her journey to the podium and what led to her setting up Gutzi, a new savoury sports food brand.

11.50 – The 5K Warm Up
Music, dance, stretch, warm up and get ready for the Muckle Toon Trail Run. Suitable for all the family!

12.30 – 13.00 – Bike Maintenance Demo
Pick up tips of the trade from local bike experts Bike 7 as they teach you all you need to know to keep your two wheels in great working order.

Come and see how it’s done! Local Segway experts Border Segway will be joining us in the Tent to demo their off-road Segway skills and give you some hints and tips towards Segway mastery.

15.00– 16.00 MARK BEAUMONT – Around The World in 80 Days!
Having smashed the cycling circumnavigation World Record twice in his career, Mark returns to MTAF to give an insight into achieving what seemed to be the impossible, cycling around the world in 80 days! Mark set out to make this Victorian fiction a two wheeled reality in 2017, complete the 18,000 mile circumnavigation in 79 days 14 hours, averaging 240miles per day. Charismatic and inspiring, Mark is a true Scottish legend. Not to be missed!!
